Rethinking Emilie Frances Davis (Lesson Plans for Teaching Her Civil War Pocket Diaries), is a teaching guide written by Dr. Karsonya Wise Whitehead & Conra D. Gist, in conjunction to their first novel, Notes from a Colored Girl: The Civil War Pocket Diaries of Emilie Frances Davis. I had to opportunity to design the inside layout and outter covers for both authors under Loyola University Maryland's publishing house, the Apprentice House. The intial painting upon the background was painted by Calvin Coleman.
